Oval Racing
NHRPA National Hot Rods
The pinnacle of short oval racing. These cars are the fastest formula on the UK ovals, with spaceframe chassis and highly tuned 16 valve engines, the racing is ultra competitive, close and exciting. These cars run on a bespoke Hoosier slick, and moulded wet tyre, designed specifically for this application. Hoosier has been the control tyre for this series since 2001.
We also support the NHRRG National Hot Rod series that runs in The Netherlands, and Germany. The cars run a very similar specification to the UK series, and also use a control Hoosier slick and wet tyre.

Spedeworth 2.0 Hot Rods
One step down from the National Hot Rods, the 2.0 Hot Rod class is promoted by Spedeworth/Incarace. This series also runs nationwide, with strict rules to keep the costs down to ensure that racing remains affordable. This is a very competitive non-contact formula which runs on a bespoke treaded Hoosier tyre in both wet and dry conditions.

Spedeworth Superstox
Superstox are purpose built single seater cars running a 2.0 Ford engine. As with all oval racing the fastest cars start at the back of the grid, and in this case contact is allowed. This is also a nationwide series, utilising a treaded control Hoosier tyre for all weather conditions.

American Cup Car Racing
These lightweight cars are imported from the USA, and run a Yamaha bike engine. The power to weight ratio makes them extremely fast in the tight confines of an oval track. This series runs both a Hoosier slick and wet control tyre, and we have supported this series for over 15 years.

Circuit Racing
Formula Vee – 750 motor club
The Formula Vee series is run by the 750 Motor Club. The cars are single seater, with a 1300cc air cooled VW engine. The control tyre (both wet and dry) is from the Vintage range of Hoosier tyres, and has proved successful since it was adopted in 2015

Bernie’s V8s
Coming on board for 2020, this is a series promoted in conjunction with the 750 Motor Club that offers a diverse selection of cars. From Corvettes, Jaguars, Cobras, GT40s and ASCARs amongst many others – the requirement to join this series is a V8 engine! We offer a choice of our Vintage bias (cross) ply tyres, or the Circuit Racing DOT Radial R7 tyres, both of which are available in a variety of sizes. We offer a discount to participants of this series – please be sure to mention Bernie’s V8s when placing your order.
